Watermelon, Watermelon

Baby's now the size of a watermelon!
Your full-term (yay!) baby is gaining about 1/2 ounce a day and getting his first sticky poop (called meconium) ready. He's also brushing up on skills for the outside world: blinking, sucking, inhaling, exhaling, and gripping (it's getting strong!).

WOW! I ca't believe that Baby Grey could be born any day now! I am so anxious to see him- though not anxious for the birthing part. Michael and I finished Lamaz classes last week, so I feel like I am ready- but I'm sure everything I learned will go straight out the window as soon as I start feeling the pain.

My mom and Michael's mom are coming when I go into labor and then staying with us for a while after the birth. I am so excited to get to have them here- I think that's one reason I'm so anxious for Grey to be here!! For the most part we have everything ready- though I still haven't packed my hospital bags- that's one thing I tell myself every weekend that I am going to do- yet, it still hasn't happened.

As for Baby Grey- he is moving like a monster... killing my ribs! Michael and I feel little body parts bulging out of my side all the time (though I can't really tell what anything is!) I think he is ready to be out too! So my next update will probably be Greyson's arrival- can't wait to share it!!

OH BOY!!!

Baby Greyson

Face and Mouth

IT'S A BOY!!

Well- Michael and I found out today that we will soon have a SON- Greyson John Chambers! This was my first ultrasound so it was very exciting but I was also very nervous. It was so great to see that all the "body parts" were there and baby seems to be doing great- moving around like crazy. One second the head would be on one side and the next second the baby would be completely on the other side. I also feel it moving and kicking everyday now! Yesterday was special because Michael felt it kicking for the first time. His face lit up when he felt it and he said "wow- that baby is kicking hard!" The Doctor decided to move my due date back 1 week- because of the gestational size of the baby. So my new due date is February 25- but my doctor said the baby will come whenever its ready!!!!

16 weeks!

This week I had my 3rd Doctor's appointment! It was a really quick appointment- all the Dr. did was listen to the heart beat and answer a few questions. Babies heart beat sounds good- 155 beats per minute (The Doctor said it should avergage between 140 and 150- so looks like my baby is hyper already!!!)
I am having huge craving for Mexican food (yum!!) I think I've had it 3 times this week already- and I could take another taco right now! I have gained 8 pounds since my first appointment- almost 10 weeks ago (8 pounds is exciting for me!)Mrs. Jackson- my TA- said today that she finally noticed a little bump!
I go back to the Dr. on Sept 30 for my 1st ultrasound and another regular appointment. This should be a very exciting appointment because we will finally get to see our little one and we should find out the gender... I'm guessing its a girl right now (maybe I'm just hoping it's a girl! I'm outnumbered by the boys right now!)

I finally see a little "bump!"

16 weeks and 1 day!!!

Praise God from whom ALL blessings flow!

"Hear, O LORD, and be merciful to me; be my help. You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing to you and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever."
Psalm 30:10-12

For the last few days, I feel like this song title pretty much sums up my life. Wow! God is so good. First of all, I found out Monday that my grandfather, who is slowly dieing from terminal cancer has gained 6 pounds this week. That is AMAZING! I am going home in a few days and can't wait to see him and spend a little bit of time with him- cause I know we probably won't have him for much longer.
Then today, Michael and I went to my 10 week prenatal visit and everything looks (and sounds) great! We actually got to hear the heart beat- which again, was AMAZING!! It was so neat to hear that little baby's heart beating SO FAST and to think that in just a few months we well actually be parents and get to hold our precious baby! I am so greatful to God for everything in my life right now!!

I was trying to "pooch" out my stomach as much as possible!! : )

“For YOU created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful I know that full well.” Psalm 139: 13-14
